Fall 2004 fashions are full of color and style. What are the experts forecasting?

Fabric for the 2004 fall season -- The fabrics that we will see this fall are from different extremes. We will see a lot of silky, satin, shimmering, & metallic textures. These will be combined with velvet, pinstripes, and tweed in a bold statement. Tweed is used in the fall fashions with a very feminine touch to create a more subtle, tailored look. Another trend to look for, is the use of cat print fabric in the fall designs.

Handbags for fall 2004 -- Handbags are continuing to be a dramatic accessory this fall. They are designed using bold textured fabrics. A fun newcomer on the scene are the "doctor's bag" style, with the top handle and snap clasp. We will also see handbags and purses designed with animal print, and leather. Large belt buckle closures will be extremely popular this season, as they add a dramatic element to a basic bag.

Colors forecasted for fall -- Fall brings on colors of autumn; gold, browns and tans. These colors will be incorporated with more lively colors such as purple, blue, crimson and pink.

Jewelry forecasted for fall 2004 -- Pearls seem to be the "must have" of the season. We will see pearls in every pastel color imaginable. The longer layered look is going to be seen quite frequently. This year gold is making a comeback as well as jewelry of copper and metallic tones. Chandelier earrings are still a top seller. Because of the strong statement that they make, chandelier earrings can be warn solo when other jewelry seems inappropriate. A newcomer to the jewelry scene is the broche. This could be the fact that vintage jewelry is going to be very popular. Scour the estate sales to find that perfect accessory.

Clothing trends for fall -- Skirts and pants will be made of tweed and paired with a shimmering blouse to soften the look. Modesty is finally back!! Thank You! A more feminine, ladylike look has finally become stylish again, so cover up that skin. High waists and wide legs will be the style for pants. Skirts are full, suits are tailored, and blouses that once bared all are going to be more modest. Big chunky sweaters are making a comeback, designed with large collars and bulky knit.

Shoes trends -- Shoes look as though they are from the 50's. A few of the shoe trends to watch for this fall are the two tone black and white shoes, silver heeled boots, calf high boots and platform shoes.

Coats, Jackets forecast for fall 2004-- Ponchos of every style and size are the cover for fall. Fur (faux, of course!) will be used in abundance in this years coat collection. Collars will be big, bold and dramatic.

Embellishment trends -- Embellishments on shirts, pants, and handbags are extremity popular again this season. Add a personal touch with appliqués, beads, and sequins sewn onto your wardrobe. Fur is plentiful, from coats and shirts to handbags.
